Jane Chou, Founder of CKYFS Inc.
Jane Chou has served as a distinguished member of the Board of Directors for the CSTC San Diego Chapter from June 2022 to June 2024, demonstrating unwavering dedication to community upliftment.
Hailing from Taiwanese heritage, Jane Chou’s native name, 周國玉 (Chou Kuo Yu), reflects her rich cultural roots. However, recognizing the practicalities of communication in an American context, she adopts the moniker “Jane” for smoother interaction, acknowledging the challenges many encounter in pronouncing her Taiwanese name accurately.

Jane’s professional journey is a fusion of her upbringing, educational pursuits, and extensive experience navigating the American business landscape over nearly three decades. This unique blend of influences shapes her approach, infusing her contributions with a nuanced understanding of diverse perspectives and cultural dynamics.
Jane’s journey into the realm of business commenced at the tender age of eight when she, alongside her parents, spearheaded a bustling downtown San Diego restaurant, laying the foundation for her unparalleled professional trajectory.
Immersed in the vibrant tapestry of commerce from an early age, Jane gleaned invaluable insights from the myriad personalities frequenting her family’s establishment. These formative experiences served as the bedrock for her future endeavors, including the inception of CKYFS Inc.
Her passion for knowledge and language burgeoned during her visits to the San Diego Public Library, providing a sanctuary for intellectual exploration amidst the bustle of the restaurant.
Inspired by a fervent desire to serve her country, Jane embarked on a transformative chapter in the US Navy, where she honed her linguistic prowess and tax expertise at the Fort George G. Meade Joint Installation Tax Assistance Center. Her exemplary service resulted in clients receiving over $2.6 million in refunds, culminating in the prestigious Army Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service in 2006.
By May 2008, Jane finished her military obligations and returned to San Diego, California to open her own business practice on January 1, 2009: CKYFS Inc.
Community Service
Provided pro bono interpreting/translation services for Casa Cornelia’s Asylum cases.
ETAAC committee member, I, along with other members, contribute pro bono to the annual report to Congress on IRS progress. We support the public by researching, analyzing, and recommending solutions on electronic tax administration issues such as identity theft, refund fraud, and strategic planning.
